Transcripts from the Journals of the House of Lords April 30-June 9, 1675 and from the Journals of the House of Commons from May 4-Nov. 22, 1675 regarding litigation between Thomas Sherley and John Fagg. Sherley was heir to his father's estate at Wiston, but it was transferred during the Civil War to Fagg. Sherley appealed to the House of Lords, but Fagg was a member of the House of Commons and exempt from lawsuits during session. Sherley was taken into custody for bringing an appeal in the Lords against a member of the lower house.
